I feel like I am cheating. To go to work every day for things that are your passion, I am blessed.
I started my bike passion in the mid seventies, racing for the Queen City Wheelmen and working for a couple of bike shops. Anyone remember Sam’s Pro Bike Shop? Later I lived in West Germany for a year and toured there. The trains there had a last car that was for your bike. For a few bucks you could get your bike on the car, and start your touring anywhere. I also lived in New Mexico and toured there. Now my wife and I can be found on the different trails in the area and on the roads out towards Oxford.
Kayaking is a newer passion. A relative near Sleeping Bear Dunes offered my wife and I the use of her kayaks, and we were hooked. We used to canoe, but now only kayak. I am getting new gear in January (drysuit, etc.) and you will see me paddling during the cold weather.
Please allow me to serve you in the pursuit of your passion, be it biking or kayaking. |
